Proposed Industrial Park Phase In Clermont Near SR 50 Approved

The Clermont Planning & Zoning Board has approved plans for a new phase of an industrial park near State Road 50, advancing the continued buildout of the Perimeter Park West development.

The newly approved phase would add approximately 185,000 square feet of industrial space, expanding the existing campus with facilities intended for warehouse, distribution, and light industrial uses. The site’s location along SR 50 provides direct access to a major east–west transportation corridor serving Lake County and the greater Central Florida region.

Board approval clears the way for the developer to proceed with detailed site planning and future construction. Supporters of the project noted that the area’s proximity to key roadways makes it attractive for businesses seeking efficient regional connectivity without locating in more densely developed urban centers.

The expansion reflects ongoing demand for industrial space in Lake County, as companies continue to look beyond core markets for well-positioned logistics and flex-industrial sites that can support long-term growth.
