Small-Bay Industrial Project Would Add New Business Space Near Downtown Groveland
A new industrial project is taking shape just north of downtown Groveland as developers continue to target one of the market’s most active niches: small-bay space for local businesses, service providers and light industrial users.
Clermont-based Haven Property Group has submitted plans for Groveland Commons Business Park, a proposed development on 31.9 acres along Sampey Road, less than a mile from downtown.
The proposal reflects broader industrial growth in Lake County, where Groveland has been gaining traction as an emerging location for business and logistics activity. Unlike larger warehouse projects geared toward major distribution users, this development appears aimed at smaller-format industrial space that can accommodate contractors, trades, distributors and other expanding local operators.
That focus could make the project especially notable in a submarket where population growth, infrastructure investment and business formation continue to create demand for practical, flexible space. As Groveland expands, projects like this suggest developers see opportunity not only in large logistics facilities, but also in the kind of smaller industrial product that is often in short supply for local and regional tenants.
While further development details have not yet been widely disclosed, the planned business park points to continued confidence in Groveland’s growth trajectory and in the long-term appeal of small-bay industrial space in Central Florida.
