Driftwood Capital Breaks Ground On $420M Westin Hotel And Conference Center On Florida’s Space Coast
Driftwood Capital has officially launched the Westin Cocoa Beach Resort, Spa, and Conference Center, a major 502-room oceanfront hospitality project on Florida’s Space Coast.
This ambitious $420 million development will be located on a 15.7-acre site at 1300 N. Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach, with plans to generate approximately 1,800 direct and indirect jobs in the area.
The resort will boast the largest conference center in the Space Coast region and will fill a significant 160-mile gap of Marriott International hotels along the Atlantic coast. Once completed, the Westin Cocoa Beach Resort will feature an array of amenities, including 11 dining venues with themed restaurants, a luxurious spa, a surfing wave pool, multiple swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and various retail options. A multi-story parking garage will also be included, with capacity for around 800 vehicles.
For events and gatherings, the property will offer 72,000 square feet of open-air spaces alongside 51,500 square feet of indoor meeting facilities. Key partners in this development include Kast Construction and Driftwood Hospitality Management, based in North Palm Beach, Florida, which will oversee operations upon completion. Driftwood Capital anticipates that the Westin Cocoa Beach Resort will be ready for guests by summer 2027.
