Southern Management and Development Underway With New Ollie’s Stores in Casselberry, Ocala

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet expands its Florida presence, Boca Raton-based Southern Management and Development, L.P. (SMD) is building out Ollie’s stores in Casselberry and Ocala. SMD, the developer, owner and manager of Casselberry Square shopping center in Casselberry, is constructing a 32,580-square-foot Ollie’s store, with completion expected this summer, according to SMD President Steven Levin. In Ocala’s Shoppes at Paddock Park, also a SMD shopping center, the 41,470-square-foot Ollie’s store will also be delivered this summer, he said.  

“Bringing consumers terrific value in brand-name merchandise, the Ollie’s team’s experience, volume capabilities and logistics network are fueling exciting growth,” said Levin, whose firm develops, owns and manages retail centers throughout Florida.

Ollie’s, with more than 200 store locations in 19 states across the Eastern half of the U.S., offers bargain shoppers an ever-changing array of national brand closeouts, excess inventory and salvage merchandise, at drastically reduced prices. The retailer operates additional Florida stores in Jacksonville and Orlando. The 96,496-square-foot Casselberry Square, with a high visibility location at 906-948 East Semoran Blvd. (SR 436), is also anchored by Pet Supermarket and Dollar General. The center’s tenants include a range of national and local shops and services. Shoppes at Paddock Park is located next to the regional Paddock Mall, near I-75 at Highway 200 and SW 34 Avenue in Ocala. The 87,136-square-foot center has a tenant roster including Edible Arrangements, Supercuts and UPS. A full-service realty and development firm, SMD focuses on adding value to properties in the retail, multifamily and office sectors throughout Florida and Tennessee.  Founded in 1972, the company owns and manages 1722 rental apartments, plus a 3.9 million-square-foot retail portfolio and 200,000 square feet of office space.
