Space Coast Town Center Moves Ahead With Grocery-Anchored Mixed-Use Project
A major mixed-use component is moving forward within the Space Coast Town Center master-planned community in West Melbourne.
Barron Collier Investment Partners has purchased 32.6 acres from MultiVerse Global, the developer behind the larger 225-acre Space Coast Town Center. The site is planned for The Landing at Space Coast, a grocery-anchored development intended to become a key activity center within the broader project.
The first phase is expected to include roughly 77,750 square feet of retail space, with a grocery store serving as the anchor. Plans also call for restaurant and service-focused tenants, along with 300 apartment units.
A second phase would add another 70,000 square feet of commercial space. That phase is also expected to include a public art feature recognizing the Space Coast’s connection to innovation, exploration and regional history.
When fully built out, Space Coast Town Center is planned to include more than 2,000 multifamily units, 300 hotel rooms, 360,000 square feet of office space and 257,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The larger development will also feature a grocery anchor and public gathering areas designed to support a walkable mixed-use environment.
