Edgar Jones' MultiVerse Global To Bring Major Mixed-Use Development To West Melbourne

Construction may start in the coming months on a major mixed-use development project in West Melbourne.

Lake Mary-based Integra Land Co. could toss dirt by March 2020 on its 300-unit apartment project on 12 acres in the Space Coast Town Center, said Edgar Jones, principal of developer MultiVerse Global.

The groundbreaking comes after MultiVerse Global completed its purchase of the roughly 170 acres on Aug. 26 for more than $20 million.

Integra’s apartment project will be the first construction project on site. In total the Space Coast Town Center may feature:

  • 2,000 apartments
  • 200,000-250,000 square feet of retail
  • 300,000 to 500,000 square feet of office space
  • 250 hotel rooms

That said, no other companies are under contract to build at the Space Coast Town Center, which was announced in August 2018. But Jones said he’s in discussions with other companies to build there. The town center is expected to be walkable and have a neighborhood feel with a plaza, shops, restaurants and a grocer.

The development team includes engineers San Francisco-based T.Y. Lin International Group and Melbourne-based MBV Engineering Inc.; Akerman LLP is the law firm; and Minneapolis-based RSP Architects is the architecture firm. Source:  OBJ
