Forestar Buys 52 Acres For Residential Development For $4.85 Million

The Land Advisors Organization’s Orlando office team of Mike Ripley and Steve Flanagan, acting as transaction brokers, arranged the $4,848,000 sale of 51.8 acres of land on the west side of Plymouth Sorrento Road in Apopka to Forestar (USA) Real Estate Group, an affiliate of D.R. Horton.

The property has site plan approval for 202 residential units under the City of Apopka’s Kelly Park Road Sector Plan. It is located .5 miles from the Kelly Park Road interchange with SR 429 and is contiguous south of a Bridle Path, a 51-acre parcel acquired by Forestar in February 2020 for $4.18M and subsequently developed into a 152-lot community, which sold to D.R. Horton. Land Advisors Organization also served as the transaction broker in the Bridle Path transaction.

“This sale marks our fourth land transaction in the booming Kelly Park Road area and the fifth in Apopka since 2020,” said Ripley.
