Former CBRE Veteran Named JLL Managing Director In Orlando

In this role, Gilbert will focus on growing the firm’s office agency leasing practice in the region. He joins the JLL team after spending the past 14 years at CBRE, where he served as Senior Vice President in the Orlando market. “As one of Orlando’s top agency brokers, John is highly respected in the real estate field for his outstanding reputation, integrity and strong client relationships,” said JLL’s Doug Irmscher, Market Director for Florida. “He is an excellent addition to our team in the Orlando market and will fit well within our collaborative culture at JLL.” With over 20 years working in Orlando’s commercial real estate market, Gilbert has completed more than 650 sale and lease transactions totalling more than $590 million in value. He has represented a wide array of institutional and private owners, as well as investors. With his vast knowledge and expertise of the Orlando office market, coupled with the relationships he has developed over his career, Gilbert’s addition to JLL is going to help further drive the firm’s continued growth in Orlando’s thriving office market. “John is a game changer for JLL’s leasing platform in Central Florida,” said JLL’s Chris Butler, Managing Director for Central Florida. “His senior experience working in the commercial real estate industry will help accelerate our growth regionally and strengthen our ability to capture additional market share in the Orlando market.” Gilbert received the Office Broker of the Year Award in 2007 and 2012 from the Orlando Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
