Vero Beach 'Main Street' Arts District Landmark Sells

ComReal’s John Lonardo, CCIM brokered the sale of the Vero Furniture Mart, a “Main Street” historic landmark at the northeast corner of 14th Ave. Main St. & 20th St. (Rt.60) in Vero Beach. The “Main Street” American Beaux Art Era building was designed by Frederick Trimble in the Spanish Mission revival style and was built at the Intersection of then Osceola Blvd. and Seminole Ave by Farmer’s Bank in 1914. The bank failed in the Great Depression and thereafter was occupied by Indian River Citrus Bank. In 1983, the buildings were sold to The Vero Furniture Mart. Daniel L. Lawing, Seller, sold the buildings to Grace Jackson, LLC. The buildings total 24,000 square feet on a 13,000 square foot corner land site with 230’ of street frontage in five buildings. It sold for $700,000.
